History:

Vema Industries started its business in February, 1981.
With its headquarters located in the factory building at
Warehouse #8 (formerly Saniwares), #20 F. Pasco Road
corner Evangelista Street, Santolan, Pasig City, Philippines.

The company employs 60 people in both corporate and
manufacturing capacities. Proprietor and General Manager,
Veronica R. Escubil started her business in the manufacture
and export of various handicrafts in the Houseware, Christmas,
Novelty goods categories apart from the existing Hat and Bag
items.

In the 1990s, the company decided to focus its efforts in the
manufacture and export of Hats and Bags using indigenous,
natural and synthetic materials.

At present, Vema has a market base in the U.S., Europe and
Asia. In the U.S., the company supplies to the major
importer/wholesalers and retailers of Hats and Bags.

Price points are from Low to Medium to Medium-High.

Designs are traditional, contemporary and avant-garde.
Our designs were nominated in the Best Product Design and
Best Product Collection categories in the Philippine
Department of Trade and Industries' Center for International
Trade Expositions and Missions' (CITEM) Manila FAME,
dubbed as Asia's queen of trade shows. The company is regularly
invited to join international trade fairs to showcase our hat and
bag designs, most recently, to the Premiere Fair in Milan, Italy
last January, 2001.

The distinctive styles and quality in making hats and bags have
earned Vema a respectable position in the industry.
